  1. Painting my living room ceiling today as I wait for the snow to melt on my steep driveway....darned 4x4 doesn't work after all the work I put into it! Relegated to a summer project to get handled before next winter.

  2. Well the snow actually went away a few days ago and this sprung up on the lawn so I thought I would give the camera a whirl.

  4. I've been to Stepney and Wapping today. Asked for a pallet to be sawn on two, need it for something to do with my bike ramp and I collected the first half today. Will get the other bit when I next go in to work. It's a lot heavier than I was expecting. If asked by anyone why it was on the back I was going to twist round and shout, 'Some bastard's stolen the bricks I had on that!!!'

  5. Well I had planned to get up early (ish) and ride my default or "go to" round trip, the one I like, and ride when I can't be arsed to plan anything properly. As it happened I didn't manage to drag my sorry carcass out of my pit untill nearly 11, so by the time I'd got my eyes lined up with their holes it was lunch time and my "go to" ride was no longer doable comfortably in the time remaining before curfew as its pretty much a 5 Hour ride... So, I concocted this one 250 odd km, and using the village of Chevroches ( literally "goat rocks" ) as the southern point and sticking to

  6. Did the dirty and drove to Conwy the long way round to fill up at the Tesco, then popped over to the drive thru. Dad and daughter date. We spoke all things girly while parked at the beach scoffing grub by the bucket. Netflix next. I'll suffer some chick flic just to have her company. Kids grow up too fast and before you know it you're surplus to requirement.

  7. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to get out today, the morning saw rain, hail, snow and strong wind....but finally the sun came out, just at the last minute. So I took Bagheera out for my Tuesday run. Here is a quick run through the forest, the road just before my house, I pretend it is my "driveway"....lol

Had a tax reminder for the XR this morning and i noticed it says on it "This vehicle needs an appropriate MOT certificate" when i checks it was right it runs out tomorrow, fucking great a valid excuse to ride the bike i thinks, so phones the place i take it hoping because its raining he'll have a cancellation and fit me in. Sure enough he had three cancellations, i thank god for pansies as gets my riding gear on and off i go straight up the Rhondda Valley a horrible place to drive or ride through even in lockdown the traffic is busy. All goes well with the MOT and its a gentle ride home along

  10. I tend to find most motorcyclists enjoy a bit of nature from time to time. Some more than others of course. Perhaps you enjoy being outdoors for days, camping and living wild. Or perhaps your bit of nature are just the flowers outside your front door. Regardless, this is the place to show us your best nature photos! BUT WAIT! please This is a Quest and there are guidelines. - Pick the best 1 or 2 shots per subject, please don't post 10 of the same flower, we just want to see the best that flower has to offer. That's about it, look for cool angles to sha

  11. I was alone at work today, which is always good, I'm also doing all the woodwork which is what I was originally trained for and I enjoy so I managed to make and fit 2 panels to replace some rotten parts of a hull liner in one boat and then remove, dismantle, sand back to bare wood, remount and refit one of the two entrance doors to our oldest boat. The one bonus of the current situation is that we're not having to rush and start the season so we've actually got the time to do stuff properly and catch up stuff I've wanted to do for years.

  15. When "It" starts, 2-Wheels is by far a better venue.....plenty of room (once you find that spot)... Funny story: My wife & I were out for spin once up the Clackamas river on my XJ750....we stopped @ McIver park & found a spot to engage in "It". Just as we finished, we heard some people nearby about to cross the creek we were near... I'm pulling up my leathers & see @ least a dozen people wondering what's going on....funny thing is that ONLY 1 of them could actually see!...Pack of blind people with a chaperone!

  23. I found this photo last night. A couple of years ago we're coming back up through France on back roads, we found a cafe in this small village and after a bit of very bad French and some arm waving we sat down outside to eat. We were really just wanting a snack but in true French fashion we got the full works and for only 13 euros including beer brewed on the premises, I don't have a photo of the main course or pudding but this was just the starter

Funny how you guys are talking about the mines, on my way back from getting an MOT today i took this photo of the Lewis Merthyr Colliery, which is now the Rhondda Heritage Park, The Welsh Mining Experience. Was just riding along a country lane and seen it below so thought i'd take a photo to put on here, spooky https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g186460-d187985-Reviews-Rhondda_Heritage_Park_The_Welsh_Mining_Experience-Cardiff_South_Wales_Wales.html

  29. Found out this afternoon that the contractor has ballsed up the street works permits, so technically we can't start on Monday. This is after I have done my letter drop and suspended all the parking. I will be throwing many fucks at people on the phone tomorrow! Meanwhile, after a pleasant warm ride to work (in February??) I had a 20 minute gap between site meetings so I rode to Fish Island in Bow, once purely industrial, then artists started moving in cos they love a grimy area, now flats being built all over it big time. Parked my bike up at the end of Dace Road and walked across the lit

  31. Fred's byway tale reminds me an incident back in the day. We were on an evening trail ride in the summer and coming down the last lane as it had just got dark. We rode through the ford and then turned a corner to find a Ford Sierra parked in the lane, there was no way we could get by it. As it was a warm evening you tell the windows were open by the 'noise' (even with our helmets on) coming from the occupants. There were now six riders on their bikes discussing what to do when we observed 'it', a skinny little bum bobbing up and down Judging by the increased noise we knew that it

Here we are at our friendly local gas station. It is so friendly the locals grab a little kiss before fueling up. Now my turn, Charlotte is a thirsty girl. Now off to the bike shop for some chain lube. But first I really have to pee, it's the cold I swear. This is my serious I have to pee face, just in case you wanted to know.
